Skills Lab

The infrastructure and the complementary services of the simulation center are also available for external clients such as hospitals and the MedTech industry. The aim of the lab is to offer the possibility to practise and improve surgical skills, learn about new interventional techniques and methods, and train physicians on new products. We also provide an unbiased platform for the development of new and innovative products in a neutral environment.

What we offer

• Excellent training facility to practise and improve interventional skills on anatomical specimens
• Depending on the exercise content, up to 10 operating tables
• Meeting rooms for up to 50 people

Anatomical Specimens

• Anatomical specimens for medical training purposes
• The specimens are fresh frozen and serologically tested to determine the absence of HIV-1, HIV-2 and Hepatitis B/C. In addition, we test the specimens for COVID-19 by means of PCR. 

Technical Equipment

• Audiovisual tools such as a projector, big screen, sound system and screens for operating stations
• Two c-arms from Ziehm Imaging GmbH
• Possiblity to rent more c-arms, microscopes and endoscopic towers upon request

Instrument Service

• Cleaning & sterilization of Instruments
• Basic instrument sets for rent
   

Imaging

• Pre- and postoperative imaging (X-ray, CT and MRT) of the anatomical specimens
   

Complementary Services

• Organization and administration of courses and workshops
• Participant management
• Speaker management
• Support in developing and planning as well as implementing and executing new concepts for workshops and events
• Booking of hotels and transport
